The PathHunter SCTR cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. secretin) based activation of SCTR GPCR activity via detection of β-arrestin recruitment. The included cell line overexpresses ProLink-tagged SCTR and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2. Activation of SCTR stimulates the recruitment of β-Arrestin-2 and produces EFC signal. Galectin-1 is a member of the beta-galactoside-binding family and is a dimeric protein of 14 kD participating in a variety of normal and pathological processes, including cancer progression.
